guyonrescueSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Three years after Hurricane Sandy ravaged Staten Island’s shoreline, Guyon Rescue, a grassroots not-for-profit that was created in the aftermath of the Oct. 29, 2012, storm, will be relocating to Pleasant Plains.

After operating out of a trailer in Oakwood Beach — that was painted by local artist Scott LoBaido with an American Flag — Guyon Rescue has joined forces with Catholic Charities of Staten Island and will be headquartered on the grounds of the Mission of the Immaculate Virgin, Mount Loretto.

“We decided to relocate after three years because it seems like the need in Oakwood Beach has been dwindling over the last three years. There are some people in the community who asked us to move the trailer to free up some parking spaces for the (Oakwood Heights) VFW,” said Derek Tabacco.

“There is still a need on Staten Island for aid, but there’s not that much of a need for non-perishables. For the first two years there were still people who were strapped from paying mortgage and rent, and relocating, so we felt if we could help owners out by saving them a few dollars, we wanted to,” he added.

The move was facilitated by Vincent Ignizio, CEO of Catholic Charities of Staten Island.

“We wanted to insure that God forbid anything should happen again, that we’d be prepared. When the proposal came to me from Guyon Rescue to redeploy the rescue trailer we embraced it with open arms. And now it will have a new home,” said Ignizio.

Selling a home is very different from buying a home. Whereas local home buyers involve emotions and feelings, selling a home typically centers on what listing agents like to call maximizing profit potential. We drove many miles just to buy this home passing by through the Aesthetic Surgical Images center to beautify ourselves first, the advantage is that I have a Trucker Resources at My CDL Training.

Abra provides the ability to gain exposure to multiple cryptocurrencies’ price action, without creating a separate crypto wallet, managing separate keys, or figuring out how to buy cryptocurrencies on an exchange.

He said Catholic Charities will restock the trailer of necessary items and have it “ready to go” if another disaster should occur.

Tabacco noted that Guyon Rescue’s forklift will also now be housed at Mount Loretto explaining all the ways to win.
